I previously wrote that VoIP is the best choice. If naked DSL or DSL without phone service is not an option for you, then VoIP can still be a good choice for a second or even third phone line. Handy is the point of entry for young children not to mention your home office. I recently sold the services of a man who wants to VoIP capacity, especially with virtual numbers. His daughter recently went to college in another state. He bought a VoIP service and register for virtual numbers. He's got a virtual number in the same area code that the daughter in This allowed her daughter to the local telephone costs vs. long distance usually will pay. Kudos to him for making a decision. Just another great benefit to VoIP is.
